Beard Transplant Coventry

Get back to great hair

Last Reviewed: 6 September 2026

A beard transplant thickens patchy areas or shapes a new beard line using your own permanent hair. For Coventry patients the price is a fixed £2,899, 5☆ rated and all-inclusive with no hidden extras, delivered in a single day by GMC-registered surgeons at CQC-registered clinics. A few photographs and a free video consultation are enough for a clear plan and an honest answer on suitability.

A Beard Transplant for Coventry Patients with My Hair UK

For Coventry patients the process is built to be simple: a free consultation with the surgeon who would carry out your procedure, by video from home or in-person at the clinic, then a plan and fixed price agreed in writing, and the surgery itself completed in a single day under local anaesthetic. Nothing is committed until you have seen exactly what your beard needs and what it costs.

The procedure is FUE applied to the face: individual follicular units are moved from the permanent donor area at the back and sides of your scalp into the cheeks, jawline, moustache or chin. The transplanted hair behaves like beard hair from then on, and it lasts, because donor hair keeps its permanence wherever it is placed. Our beard restoration guide covers the surgery itself in more depth.

The typical case is not a full beard from nothing. It is patchy cheeks, thin sideburns, a moustache that does not join the chin, or gaps that make a beard look untidy at every length. Genetic patchiness does not fill in on its own, and our guide to fixing a patchy beard explains why the non-surgical options rarely close the gap.

Cost

Beard Transplant Cost in Coventry

£2,899 is the complete price of a beard transplant for Coventry patients: one fixed, all-inclusive fee agreed in writing before surgery, whatever the number of grafts placed on the day. UK beard work is widely quoted anywhere from £3,000 to £7,000 depending on graft count, so a fixed fee at this level is deliberately competitive, and it means a bigger plan never carries a penalty.

The fee covers everything attached to the day itself: the surgeon and surgical team, anaesthetic, clinic facilities, aftercare products and your follow-up reviews. What the price includes and how it compares is set out in full on our beard transplant cost page.

The Procedure, Start to Finish

On the day itself you are at the clinic for several hours, awake, under local anaesthetic. The surgeon first draws the design on your face and agrees every line with you: the cheek line, the jawline and neckline, how the moustache joins the chin, and how new growth blends into any beard you already have. Nothing is placed until you are happy with those lines.

Grafts are then extracted one follicular unit at a time from the back and sides of your scalp, where hair is a close match for beard hair and keeps its permanence. Each graft is placed flat to the skin in the direction beard hair grows, with single-hair grafts along the visible edges. It is one day of surgery, and you go home the same evening.

Recovery-Timeline

Recovery, and When You Can Shave

Most Coventry patients plan around a fortnight of visible healing: small scabs at each graft site that clear inside two weeks, then fading redness. Rather than describe that in the abstract, the photographs in this section show a real patient the day after surgery and again at two weeks, once the scabs have healed and dropped away. The transplanted hairs shed between weeks two and eight, which is an expected part of the cycle rather than a problem, and regrowth starts at around three months. Final density arrives between nine and twelve months.

You cannot shave the treated area for the first two weeks. Trimming is fine after that, and normal shaving usually resumes at about a month. Aftercare is included, with monthly check-ins to make sure your growth is on track, free 6 and 12 month follow-up consultations with your surgeon (video or in-person), and the clinic on hand if anything needs a closer look.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What does a beard transplant cost for Coventry patients?

The price is £2,899, fixed and all-inclusive, however many grafts your plan needs. It covers the surgery, anaesthetic, clinic fees, aftercare products and follow-up reviews, and it is agreed in writing before surgery.

2. Do I need to travel from Coventry for a beard transplant?

Yes, once. Surgery is a single day at a CQC-registered partner clinic in central Manchester or Harrow, north-west London, whichever suits you better. The consultation is free, by video from home or in-person at the clinic if you prefer, and follow-up runs by video unless you would rather come in, so the only required travel is the day of surgery itself.

3. Is my own hair used for the beard transplant?

Yes, always. Follicular units are extracted individually from the donor area at the back and sides of your scalp and placed into the beard. Nothing artificial is used, which is why the result grows, sheds and greys like the rest of your beard.

4. How many visits does a beard transplant involve?

One surgical visit is all it needs. The consultation beforehand can be by video, the surgery is completed in a single day, and follow-up runs as monthly check-ins plus free 6 and 12 month consultations with your surgeon, by video or in-person as you prefer.

5. What if my beard gaps appeared suddenly?

Sudden smooth, round bald spots in the beard can be alopecia barbae, an autoimmune condition, and transplanting into it is the wrong treatment. It needs a diagnosis first. Long-standing, stable patchiness is a different matter and usually suits a transplant well.

6. Is the £2,899 really the full price?

Yes. It includes the surgeon and surgical team, local anaesthetic, all clinic fees, aftercare products and follow-up reviews. It is agreed before surgery and does not change with the number of grafts.

7. Does the donor area show after a beard transplant?

Beard work uses comparatively modest graft numbers, so the donor area at the back of the scalp recovers quickly, and the tiny FUE dot marks are covered by surrounding hair at normal lengths. The redness there settles within a couple of weeks.
