Estimate your graft numbers in 3D
Our Interactive 3D hair transplant graft calculator lets you move a front hairline slider and a crown slider until a 3D head matches your own hair, then shows an estimated number of grafts and the price. The estimate moves in steps of 500 grafts, and the surgeon confirms the real figure when they assess your scalp.

What is included in the price

How the price compares
Across UK clinics, a Norwood 3 transplant typically costs between £3,000 and £9,000: a procedure of 2,000 grafts is widely quoted at about £5,000 to £6,000, 2,500 grafts at about £6,000 to £7,000, and 3,000 grafts at about £6,500 to £8,000, so our prices sit at the lower end. Prices abroad can be lower, and our UK vs Turkey cost comparison sets out the aspects to consider when booking surgery abroad.
Norwood 3 or Norwood 3 vertex: what changes the price
The difference is the crown. A Norwood 3 hairline usually needs 1,500 to 2,500 grafts; when the crown has started to thin as well (Norwood 3 vertex), the total usually rises to 2,500 to 3,000, which adds about £400 to £800. Because crown loss often keeps spreading, the surgeon may advise restoring the hairline now and planning the crown once it has settled, in which case you pay for the hairline only at this stage. The free consultation sets out which applies to you before you spend anything.
How you pay
A 50% Booking Fee secures your surgery date, and the balance is paid on the day of surgery. The price is agreed in writing before you book, so the figure you are quoted is the figure you pay.
