A beard transplant costs £2,899 at My Hair UK. One fixed price covers every beard transplant we arrange, from a few hundred grafts at the sideburns to full beard construction, agreed before surgery and unchanged on the day. Published beard prices at other UK clinics typically start around £3,000 before the graft count is priced in, and most charge £3 to £5 per graft on top.

The Cost Of A Beard Transplant
£2,899 is the total price, whatever the number of grafts. A moustache gap of 400 grafts and a full beard construction of 2,500 cost the same, because the price buys a day of surgery rather than a graft count.
The upper limit is a single day of surgery: 3,500 grafts for most hair types, and closer to 2,000 to 2,500 for very curly and afro-textured hair, where extraction has to be slower to protect each graft. Donor supply is checked at your consultation before any plan is fixed.
In practice needing close to the limit is very rare. Most beard transplants thicken what is already there rather than build a beard from nothing, and even full construction usually sits between 2,000 and 2,500 grafts, inside a single day.
That flat structure is unusual. Most UK clinics price beard work per graft, commonly at £3 to £5, so a 1,000 graft beard is quoted at £3,000 to £5,000 and a 2,000 graft beard at £6,000 to £10,000. The number that decides your price elsewhere is the one you cannot know until you have been assessed.
What £2,899 Covers by Area
The table below shows typical graft numbers by area. Every row costs the same, which is the point of a fixed price: the number your beard needs changes the plan, not the bill. These ranges match the published clinical literature and what we see in practice. Your own number depends on the growth you are starting from and the design you want, and it is confirmed free at consultation with the surgeon who would carry out your procedure.
Area | Typical Grafts | Price |
|---|---|---|
Moustache | 400-500 | £2,899 |
Sideburns | 200-300 each side | £2,899 |
Goatee and chin | 600-700 | £2,899 |
Cheeks | 300-600 each side | £2,899 |
Full beard construction | 2,000-2,500 | £2,899 |
Why One Price, Whatever the Graft Count
Running a surgical day costs much the same at 400 grafts as at 2,400. The clinic, the surgeon and the surgical team are committed for the day either way, and so are the anaesthetic, the supplies and the aftercare that follows. Charging per graft puts that overhead on a meter; a fixed price reflects what is actually being bought, which is the day.
The exception is specialist work such as eyebrow transplants, which use small graft numbers but need more intricate planning and placement, and are quoted separately.
What's Included
The price covers your consultation, the procedure under local anaesthetic, all post-operative medication, your aftercare kit, and in-person follow-up appointments while the result grows in. There is no consultation fee, and nothing is added on the day.
The one exception is PRP injections, which are a separate treatment rather than part of a transplant, so they are not included and they are not standard. Some patients choose to add a session on the day or later on, and it is charged separately if they do.

Beard Transplant Cost in London and Manchester
£2,899 is the price at both locations: surgery takes place at clinics in Harrow, north-west London, and in central Manchester. There is no London premium, which is unusual, because published beard prices in London typically run above the national range.
Patients travel from across the UK for what is a single day of surgery, and consultations are free at either location.
UK Beard Transplant Prices Compared
Published beard transplant prices at UK clinics typically start at £3,000 to £3,500 before the graft count is priced, with per-graft rates of £3 to £5 common. £2,899 fixed for any graft count sits below the published starting prices we have found, and it is the same number before and after your assessment.
A lower price is sometimes read as a warning sign, so it is worth being plain about where it comes from: day-based pricing rather than per-graft margins, at clinics that run transplants all week rather than as an occasional service. The procedure, the surgeons and the aftercare are the same as for our scalp work, and our hair transplant cost guide shows the same pricing structure across every procedure size.
If you are weighing a UK price against going abroad, our UK vs Turkey cost comparison sets out what the difference actually covers. Book a free consultation to have your graft number assessed, or send a few photographs and we will confirm the plan and the price before you commit to anything.
Is a Cheap Beard Transplant Safe?
£2,899 is the lowest published beard transplant price we have found in the UK, and a cheap beard transplant is sometimes read as a warning sign. So it is worth being plain about where the price comes from: day-based pricing rather than per-graft margins, at clinics that run transplants all week rather than as an occasional service.
What it does not come from is the surgery. The procedure is performed by GMC-registered surgeons at CQC-registered clinics, with the same technique, team and aftercare as our scalp transplants, and our hair transplant cost guide shows the same pricing structure across every procedure size.

The Surgical Team
The surgical team is what makes the difference on the day. The clinics’ five surgeons are all GMC-registered, with a minimum of 1,000 FUE hair transplant procedures each to their name. Between them the team handles complex cases, including Afro-textured and women’s hair transplants, hairline design and lowering, and revision work.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How much does a beard transplant cost in the UK?
A: £2,899 at My Hair UK, as one fixed price whatever the number of grafts. Published prices at other UK clinics typically start at £3,000 to £3,500 and rise with per-graft rates of £3 to £5.
Q: Does the price change with the number of grafts?
A: No. £2,899 covers any beard transplant up to the single-day maximum of 3,500 grafts, or 2,000 to 2,500 for very curly and afro-textured hair. The price is agreed before surgery and does not move on the day.
Q: Why can the price be fixed when other clinics charge per graft?
A: Because the real cost is the surgical day, not the graft count. The theatre, the team, the anaesthetic and the aftercare cost much the same at 400 grafts as at 2,400, so the price reflects the day rather than a per-graft meter.
Q: What does the £2,899 include?
A: The consultation, the procedure under local anaesthetic, post-operative medication, an aftercare kit and in-person follow-up appointments. There is no consultation fee and nothing is added on the day.
Q: Why is a beard transplant cheaper at My Hair UK?
A: The price is built on the surgical day rather than a per-graft rate, not on a lower standard of surgery. Procedures are performed by GMC-registered surgeons at CQC-registered clinics, with the same aftercare as our scalp work.
Q: How much is a moustache transplant?
A: The same fixed £2,899. A moustache alone typically needs 400 to 500 grafts, and the fixed price applies from small areas up to full beard construction.
Q: Does a beard transplant cost more in London?
A: Not with us. £2,899 applies at both the Harrow, London and central Manchester clinics. Published London prices elsewhere typically run above the national range.
Q: Are there any hidden costs?
A: No. £2,899 is agreed before surgery and is the full amount charged. The only optional extra is PRP, which is a separate treatment and is charged separately if you choose it.
