Beard Transplant Surrey

Get back to great hair

Last Reviewed: 10 September 2026

Beard transplant pricing for Surrey patients is 5☆ all-inclusive at a fixed £2,899, whatever the number of grafts, with GMC-registered surgeons at CQC-registered clinics and no hidden extras. The procedure fills patchy growth or builds a new beard line in a single day under local anaesthetic, and it starts with a free video consultation from home.

Beard Transplant Surgery in Surrey with My Hair UK

For Surrey patients the process is built to be simple: a free consultation with the surgeon who would carry out your procedure, by video from home or in-person at the clinic, then a plan and fixed price agreed in writing, and the surgery itself completed in a single day under local anaesthetic. Nothing is committed until you have seen exactly what your beard needs and what it costs.

The procedure is FUE applied to the face: individual follicular units are moved from the permanent donor area at the back and sides of your scalp into the cheeks, jawline, moustache or chin. The transplanted hair behaves like beard hair from then on, and it lasts, because donor hair keeps its permanence wherever it is placed. Our beard restoration guide covers the surgery itself in more depth.

The typical case is not a full beard from nothing. It is patchy cheeks, thin sideburns, a moustache that does not join the chin, or gaps that make a beard look untidy at every length. Genetic patchiness does not fill in on its own, and our guide to fixing a patchy beard explains why the non-surgical options rarely close the gap.

Beard Transplant Cost in Surrey

A beard transplant costs £2,899 for Surrey patients. That is a single fixed price whatever the number of grafts, agreed before surgery, and it does not move on the day. It covers the surgeon's time, the anaesthetic, all clinic fees, aftercare products and your follow-up reviews. There is nothing to add and nothing to negotiate.

Most UK clinics price beard work per graft, which means the bill depends on a number you cannot check yourself. A fixed fee removes that conversation entirely: whether your plan needs 600 grafts around the chin or 2,500 for full construction, the price is the same £2,899. The full breakdown is on our beard transplant cost page.

How the Surgery Works

A beard transplant is a one-day procedure under local anaesthetic: design first, extraction second, placement third, home the same evening. The design is drawn on your face and agreed with you before surgery begins, because in beard work the outline is everything, and single-hair grafts are used along the edges so the result reads as grown rather than drawn on.

Beard hair also reads as full at a lower density than scalp work, around 25 to 40 grafts per square centimetre against the 40 a scalp hairline needs, which is why graft numbers that sound modest go a long way on the face. The safe ceiling is 3,500 grafts in a day, and even full beard construction sits comfortably inside a single day for most patients.

Recovery-Timeline

Beard Transplant Recovery Timeline

The healing pattern is predictable. Fine dotted scabbing for the first week or two, mild redness that fades over the following weeks, and a shedding phase between weeks two and eight when the transplanted hairs fall out while the follicles stay put. The two patient photographs here show the difference a fortnight makes: small scabs at each graft the day after surgery, then clear skin with mild redness once they have dropped off at two weeks. New growth begins around month three and the final result settles between nine and twelve months.

The shaving rules are simple: nothing for two weeks, trimming after that, and a normal wet shave from around a month once the grafts are secure. Aftercare products are included in the price, and we have regular monthly check-ins with you to ensure your growth is progressing and offer free 6 & 12 month follow up consultations with your surgeon either by video or in-person.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What does a beard transplant cost for Surrey patients?

The price is £2,899, fixed and all-inclusive, however many grafts your plan needs. It covers the surgery, anaesthetic, clinic fees, aftercare products and follow-up reviews, and it is agreed in writing before surgery.

2. Do I need to travel from Surrey for a beard transplant?

Yes, once. Surgery is a single day at a CQC-registered partner clinic in central Manchester or Harrow, north-west London, whichever suits you better. The consultation is free, by video from home or in-person at the clinic if you prefer, and follow-up runs by video unless you would rather come in, so the only required travel is the day of surgery itself.

3. Where does the transplanted hair come from?

From the back and sides of your own scalp, extracted one follicular unit at a time. Hair from this area is a close match for beard hair in texture and growth.

4. How soon after a beard transplant can I shave normally?

Around a month. For the first two weeks the transplanted area is not shaved at all, from week two it can be trimmed, and once the grafts are secure at about the one-month mark normal shaving resumes.

5. How painful is beard transplant surgery?

Less than most patients expect. You are awake but fully numbed under local anaesthetic throughout, and the brief sting of the anaesthetic injections is typically the worst of it. Post-surgery discomfort is mild and settles within days.

6. Am I too young for a beard transplant?

If your beard pattern is still filling in, possibly, and the surgical team will say so rather than operate early. Most men's patterns settle by the mid twenties. There is no upper age limit provided the donor area is healthy.

7. Will I need to travel back to the clinic after surgery?

Only if you choose to. Aftercare instructions and products come home with you, we run regular monthly check-ins through recovery, and your free 6 and 12 month follow-up consultations with the surgeon can be held by video or in-person at the clinic.
