Beard Transplant Slough

Get back to great hair

Last Reviewed: 10 September 2026

A beard transplant for Slough patients costs a fixed £2,899, all-inclusive whatever the number of grafts, carried out in one day under local anaesthetic by GMC-registered surgeons at CQC-registered clinics. It thickens patchy growth or builds a new beard line using your own permanent hair, with 5☆ independently verified reviews and a free video consultation as the first step.

Beard Transplants for Slough Patients with My Hair UK

A patchy or incomplete beard is one of the few cosmetic problems with a genuinely permanent fix. A beard transplant moves follicular units, one at a time, from the donor area at the back and sides of your scalp into the areas of your beard that need them. Donor hair is not affected by balding, so once the transplanted hairs grow in they are yours for good: shaved, trimmed and styled like the rest. The surgery is explained fully on our beard restoration and transplant page.

For Slough patients the practical shape of it is one free consultation, by video from home or in-person at the clinic, then a single day of surgery, because even full beard construction fits within one session. Everything is settled beforehand: the design, the graft plan and the fixed £2,899 price, all agreed with the surgeon before the day itself.

Whether you are a good candidate depends on your growth pattern and what you want to achieve. Patchy cheeks, thin sideburns and gaps around the chin respond well. If your patchiness appeared suddenly as smooth round spots, that can be alopecia barbae, which needs a diagnosis rather than a transplant, and the surgeon will tell you so plainly at consultation.

Beard Transplant Cost in Slough

A beard transplant costs £2,899 for Slough patients. That is a single fixed price whatever the number of grafts, agreed before surgery, and it does not move on the day. It covers the surgeon's time, the anaesthetic, all clinic fees, aftercare products and your follow-up reviews. There is nothing to add and nothing to negotiate.

Most UK clinics price beard work per graft, which means the bill depends on a number you cannot check yourself. A fixed fee removes that conversation entirely: whether your plan needs 600 grafts around the chin or 2,500 for full construction, the price is the same £2,899. The full breakdown is on our beard transplant cost page.

How the Surgery Works

On the day itself you are at the clinic for several hours, awake, under local anaesthetic. The surgeon first draws the design on your face and agrees every line with you: the cheek line, the jawline and neckline, how the moustache joins the chin, and how new growth blends into any beard you already have. Nothing is placed until you are happy with those lines.

Grafts are then extracted one follicular unit at a time from the back and sides of your scalp, where hair is a close match for beard hair and keeps its permanence. Each graft is placed flat to the skin in the direction beard hair grows, with single-hair grafts along the visible edges. It is one day of surgery, and you go home the same evening.

Recovery-Timeline

Beard Transplant Recovery Timeline

Most Slough patients plan around a fortnight of visible healing: small scabs at each graft site that clear inside two weeks, then fading redness. Rather than describe that in the abstract, the photographs in this section show a real patient the day after surgery and again at two weeks, once the scabs have healed and dropped away. The transplanted hairs shed between weeks two and eight, which is an expected part of the cycle rather than a problem, and regrowth starts at around three months. Final density arrives between nine and twelve months.

You cannot shave the treated area for the first two weeks. Trimming is fine after that, and normal shaving usually resumes at about a month. Aftercare is included, with monthly check-ins to make sure your growth is on track, free 6 and 12 month follow-up consultations with your surgeon (video or in-person), and the clinic on hand if anything needs a closer look.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. How much does a beard transplant cost in Slough?

£2,899 for Slough patients, as a single fixed price whatever the number of grafts, up to the 3,500 that can safely be placed in one day. The price is agreed before surgery and nothing is added on the day.

2. Do I need to travel from Slough for a beard transplant?

Yes, once. Surgery is a single day at a CQC-registered partner clinic in central Manchester or Harrow, north-west London, whichever suits you better. The consultation is free, by video from home or in-person at the clinic if you prefer, and follow-up runs by video unless you would rather come in, so the only required travel is the day of surgery itself.

3. Can I have a consultation without travelling from Slough?

Yes. Consultations are free and usually held by video from home, with an in-person consultation at the clinic available if you prefer. You send a few photographs of your beard first, the surgical team assesses them, and the surgeon then talks through your plan and the fixed price on the call. You only travel for the surgery itself.

4. How long does the procedure take?

It is completed in a single day. You arrive in the morning, the design is agreed and drawn on, extraction and placement follow under local anaesthetic, and you go home the same evening.

5. Is there an age requirement for a beard transplant?

You need to be over 18, but the real question is whether your beard pattern has settled, which for most men is by the mid twenties. Transplanting into a pattern that is still changing risks a result that stops matching the beard around it, and the surgeon will advise honestly on timing.

6. I already have some beard. Can a transplant just fill the gaps?

Yes, and that is the most common request. The new grafts are blended into your existing growth, matching its angle and direction, so the filled areas are indistinguishable once grown in. The design stage maps exactly where density is added.

7. Will I need to travel back to the clinic after surgery?

Only if you choose to. Aftercare instructions and products come home with you, we run regular monthly check-ins through recovery, and your free 6 and 12 month follow-up consultations with the surgeon can be held by video or in-person at the clinic.
