Beard Transplant Farnborough

Get back to great hair

Last Reviewed: 10 September 2026

A beard transplant thickens patchy areas or shapes a new beard line using your own permanent hair. For Farnborough patients the price is a fixed £2,899, 5☆ rated and all-inclusive with no hidden extras, delivered in a single day by GMC-registered surgeons at CQC-registered clinics. A few photographs and a free video consultation are enough for a clear plan and an honest answer on suitability.

Beard Transplants for Farnborough Patients with My Hair UK

A beard transplant is an FUE hair transplant applied to the face. Follicular units are taken one at a time from the donor area at the back and sides of your scalp, where hair is permanent, and placed into the cheeks, jawline, moustache or chin. Once healed they grow as beard hair: you shave it, trim it and style it like the rest. The full procedure is covered on our beard transplant page.

Most of the Farnborough patients we hear from want thickening work rather than a beard built from nothing. Patchy cheeks, a gap between the moustache and the chin, thin sideburns or an uneven jawline are the typical cases. Patchiness is usually genetic, so it does not respond to waiting, and a transplant is the only treatment that adds permanent hair where there is none.

Your consultation happens either by video from home, or in-person with the surgeon who would carry out your procedure if you'd prefer to travel to the clinic (directions below). It is free, and you get an honest answer on whether a transplant is worth it in your case, including when it is not, along with your graft plan and the fixed price confirmed in writing before anything is booked.

Cost

Beard Transplant Cost in Farnborough

£2,899 is the complete price of a beard transplant for Farnborough patients: one fixed, all-inclusive fee agreed in writing before surgery, whatever the number of grafts placed on the day. UK beard work is widely quoted anywhere from £3,000 to £7,000 depending on graft count, so a fixed fee at this level is deliberately competitive, and it means a bigger plan never carries a penalty.

The fee covers everything attached to the day itself: the surgeon and surgical team, anaesthetic, clinic facilities, aftercare products and your follow-up reviews. What the price includes and how it compares is set out in full on our beard transplant cost page.

How a Beard Transplant Works

The procedure runs in a single day under local anaesthetic. You are awake throughout, and most patients find the numbing injections the only uncomfortable part. Grafts are extracted individually from the donor area of the scalp, then placed one at a time at the flat angle beard hair naturally grows, following a design agreed with you before surgery starts.

The design stage matters more in beard work than anywhere else, because every line is on show. Before anything is placed, the surgeon draws the cheek line, jawline, neckline and moustache join directly onto your face and agrees it with you. Single-hair grafts go along the outlines, where the eye is most sensitive, so the edges look grown rather than drawn. You go home the same day.

Healing, Shaving and Results

Most Farnborough patients plan around a fortnight of visible healing: small scabs at each graft site that clear inside two weeks, then fading redness. Rather than describe that in the abstract, the photographs in this section show a real patient the day after surgery and again at two weeks, once the scabs have healed and dropped away. The transplanted hairs shed between weeks two and eight, which is an expected part of the cycle rather than a problem, and regrowth starts at around three months. Final density arrives between nine and twelve months.

You cannot shave the treated area for the first two weeks. Trimming is fine after that, and normal shaving usually resumes at about a month. Aftercare is included, with monthly check-ins to make sure your growth is on track, free 6 and 12 month follow-up consultations with your surgeon (video or in-person), and the clinic on hand if anything needs a closer look.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What does a beard transplant cost for Farnborough patients?

The price is £2,899, fixed and all-inclusive, however many grafts your plan needs. It covers the surgery, anaesthetic, clinic fees, aftercare products and follow-up reviews, and it is agreed in writing before surgery.

2. Where would I go for my surgery from Farnborough?

Surgery takes place at CQC-registered partner clinics in central Manchester and Harrow, north-west London, and for most Farnborough patients London (Harrow) is the practical choice. It is a single day of surgery, so it is one travel day, and your consultation happens first, by video from home or in-person at the clinic if you prefer.

3. Where does the transplanted hair come from?

From the back and sides of your own scalp, extracted one follicular unit at a time. Hair from this area is a close match for beard hair in texture and growth.

4. How do consultations work for Farnborough patients?

By video from home, or in-person at the clinic if you prefer, free of charge either way. A few photographs are enough for the surgical team to assess your beard, and the consultation covers whether a transplant is worthwhile in your case, the graft plan, and the fixed £2,899 price. There is no obligation to book.

5. Can you transplant into alopecia areata in the beard?

No responsible surgeon transplants into active alopecia barbae, because the same process can attack the transplanted follicles. If your patches appeared suddenly as smooth round spots, get a diagnosis first. Stable genetic patchiness, by contrast, is the standard beard transplant case.

6. Are there any hidden costs with a beard transplant?

Not here. The £2,899 covers surgery, anaesthetic, clinic fees, aftercare products and follow-up reviews, and it is agreed in writing before surgery. The only cost on top is your own travel to the clinic.

7. How does the UK compare with Turkey for beard transplants?

The honest comparison is price against accountability. Turkish packages usually cost less, but follow-up happens by messaging app, and any complication is a long way from the clinic that caused it. A UK procedure at a fixed £2,899 keeps your surgeon, your records and your aftercare in the same country as you.
