Beard Transplant Weston Super Mare

Get back to great hair

Last Reviewed: 10 September 2026

Beard transplant pricing for Weston Super Mare patients is 5☆ all-inclusive at a fixed £2,899, whatever the number of grafts, with GMC-registered surgeons at CQC-registered clinics and no hidden extras. The procedure fills patchy growth or builds a new beard line in a single day under local anaesthetic, and it starts with a free video consultation from home.

Beard Transplant Surgery in Weston Super Mare with My Hair UK

A patchy or incomplete beard is one of the few cosmetic problems with a genuinely permanent fix. A beard transplant moves follicular units, one at a time, from the donor area at the back and sides of your scalp into the areas of your beard that need them. Donor hair is not affected by balding, so once the transplanted hairs grow in they are yours for good: shaved, trimmed and styled like the rest. The surgery is explained fully on our beard restoration and transplant page.

For Weston Super Mare patients the practical shape of it is one free consultation, by video from home or in-person at the clinic, then a single day of surgery, because even full beard construction fits within one session. Everything is settled beforehand: the design, the graft plan and the fixed £2,899 price, all agreed with the surgeon before the day itself.

Whether you are a good candidate depends on your growth pattern and what you want to achieve. Patchy cheeks, thin sideburns and gaps around the chin respond well. If your patchiness appeared suddenly as smooth round spots, that can be alopecia barbae, which needs a diagnosis rather than a transplant, and the surgeon will tell you so plainly at consultation.

Cost

Beard Transplant Cost in Weston Super Mare

A beard transplant costs £2,899 for Weston Super Mare patients. That is a single fixed price whatever the number of grafts, agreed before surgery, and it does not move on the day. It covers the surgeon's time, the anaesthetic, all clinic fees, aftercare products and your follow-up reviews. There is nothing to add and nothing to negotiate.

Most UK clinics price beard work per graft, which means the bill depends on a number you cannot check yourself. A fixed fee removes that conversation entirely: whether your plan needs 600 grafts around the chin or 2,500 for full construction, the price is the same £2,899. The full breakdown is on our beard transplant cost page.

How a Beard Transplant Works

The procedure runs in a single day under local anaesthetic. You are awake throughout, and most patients find the numbing injections the only uncomfortable part. Grafts are extracted individually from the donor area of the scalp, then placed one at a time at the flat angle beard hair naturally grows, following a design agreed with you before surgery starts.

The design stage matters more in beard work than anywhere else, because every line is on show. Before anything is placed, the surgeon draws the cheek line, jawline, neckline and moustache join directly onto your face and agrees it with you. Single-hair grafts go along the outlines, where the eye is most sensitive, so the edges look grown rather than drawn. You go home the same day.

How Many Grafts Does a Beard Transplant Take?

Typical graft counts by area, matching both the published literature and what the surgeons see in practice:

Recovery-Timeline

Healing, Shaving and Results

Recovery is quicker than most patients expect. For the first few days the treated area shows a small scab at each graft with some redness, and the scabs lift over the first two weeks. The patient photographs in this section show it honestly: fine dotted scabbing the day after surgery, then the same beard at two weeks with the scabs cleared and only slight redness remaining. Do not shave the transplanted area for the first two weeks; after that it can be trimmed, and normal shaving usually resumes from around a month once the grafts are secure.

Between roughly week two and week eight the transplanted hairs shed. This is normal and it is not the grafts failing: the follicles stay in place, new growth starts at around three months, and the beard reaches its final density between nine and twelve months. We keep in touch through the regrowth period with regular monthly check-ins, and you have free follow-up consultations with your surgeon at 6 and 12 months, by video or in-person.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What does a beard transplant cost for Weston Super Mare patients?

The price is £2,899, fixed and all-inclusive, however many grafts your plan needs. It covers the surgery, anaesthetic, clinic fees, aftercare products and follow-up reviews, and it is agreed in writing before surgery.

2. Is there a beard transplant clinic in Weston Super Mare?

Surgery for Weston Super Mare patients is carried out at CQC-registered clinics in central Manchester and Harrow, north-west London, rather than in Weston Super Mare itself. Because the procedure is completed in a single day, most patients treat it as one travel day, and everything before and after surgery can be handled by video from home, with the free consultation also available in-person at the clinic if you prefer.

3. Do beard transplant results last?

They do. Donor hair is taken from the back and sides of the scalp, where follicles are genetically resistant to balding, and that resistance travels with them. The transplanted beard hair is permanent and behaves like the beard around it.

4. What hair is used for a beard transplant?

Your own scalp hair, taken from the permanent donor area at the back and sides of the head. It matches beard hair closely in texture, and it keeps its permanence once moved to the face.

5. Can you shave after a beard transplant?

Not for the first two weeks. The area can be trimmed after that, and normal shaving usually resumes from around a month once the grafts are secure.

6. Is it worth paying more for a beard transplant in the UK?

That depends on what you value. The UK premium buys GMC-registered surgeons, CQC-registered clinics, and in-person follow-up if anything needs looking at. For beard work specifically the premium is modest, because £2,899 fixed sits well below what most patients expect a UK procedure to cost.

7. Does the donor area show after a beard transplant?

Beard work uses comparatively modest graft numbers, so the donor area at the back of the scalp recovers quickly, and the tiny FUE dot marks are covered by surrounding hair at normal lengths. The redness there settles within a couple of weeks.
