Beard Transplant Yeovil

Get back to great hair

Last Reviewed: 4 September 2026

Beard transplant pricing for Yeovil patients is 5☆ all-inclusive at a fixed £2,899, whatever the number of grafts, with GMC-registered surgeons at CQC-registered clinics and no hidden extras. The procedure fills patchy growth or builds a new beard line in a single day under local anaesthetic, and it starts with a free video consultation from home.

Beard Transplants for Yeovil Patients with My Hair UK

A beard transplant is an FUE hair transplant applied to the face. Follicular units are taken one at a time from the donor area at the back and sides of your scalp, where hair is permanent, and placed into the cheeks, jawline, moustache or chin. Once healed they grow as beard hair: you shave it, trim it and style it like the rest. The full procedure is covered on our beard transplant page.

Most of the Yeovil patients we hear from want thickening work rather than a beard built from nothing. Patchy cheeks, a gap between the moustache and the chin, thin sideburns or an uneven jawline are the typical cases. Patchiness is usually genetic, so it does not respond to waiting, and a transplant is the only treatment that adds permanent hair where there is none.

Your consultation happens either by video from home, or in-person with the surgeon who would carry out your procedure if you'd prefer to travel to the clinic (directions below). It is free, and you get an honest answer on whether a transplant is worth it in your case, including when it is not, along with your graft plan and the fixed price confirmed in writing before anything is booked.

Cost

Beard Transplant Cost in Yeovil

The price for Yeovil patients is £2,899, fixed before surgery and unchanged by the graft count. Per-graft pricing is the industry norm, and it is why quotes elsewhere often arrive as a range that only settles once you are committed. We think that is the wrong way round. The number of grafts you need is a clinical decision, so it should not be a billing lever, and with a fixed fee the surgeon plans your beard around the best result rather than a price band.

The £2,899 is all-inclusive: surgery, local anaesthetic, clinic fees, aftercare pack and follow-up reviews. How that compares across the UK market, and why the price does not scale with grafts, is covered on our beard transplant cost page.

How a Beard Transplant Works

The procedure runs in a single day under local anaesthetic. You are awake throughout, and most patients find the numbing injections the only uncomfortable part. Grafts are extracted individually from the donor area of the scalp, then placed one at a time at the flat angle beard hair naturally grows, following a design agreed with you before surgery starts.

The design stage matters more in beard work than anywhere else, because every line is on show. Before anything is placed, the surgeon draws the cheek line, jawline, neckline and moustache join directly onto your face and agrees it with you. Single-hair grafts go along the outlines, where the eye is most sensitive, so the edges look grown rather than drawn. You go home the same day.

How Many Grafts Does a Beard Transplant Take?

Typical graft counts by area, matching both the published literature and what the surgeons see in practice:

Recovery-Timeline

Recovery, and When You Can Shave

Most Yeovil patients plan around a fortnight of visible healing: small scabs at each graft site that clear inside two weeks, then fading redness. Rather than describe that in the abstract, the photographs in this section show a real patient the day after surgery and again at two weeks, once the scabs have healed and dropped away. The transplanted hairs shed between weeks two and eight, which is an expected part of the cycle rather than a problem, and regrowth starts at around three months. Final density arrives between nine and twelve months.

You cannot shave the treated area for the first two weeks. Trimming is fine after that, and normal shaving usually resumes at about a month. Aftercare is included, with monthly check-ins to make sure your growth is on track, free 6 and 12 month follow-up consultations with your surgeon (video or in-person), and the clinic on hand if anything needs a closer look.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. How much does a beard transplant cost in Yeovil?

£2,899 for Yeovil patients, as a single fixed price whatever the number of grafts, up to the 3,500 that can safely be placed in one day. The price is agreed before surgery and nothing is added on the day.

2. Do I need to travel from Yeovil for a beard transplant?

Yes, once. Surgery is a single day at a CQC-registered partner clinic in central Manchester or Harrow, north-west London, whichever suits you better. The consultation is free, by video from home or in-person at the clinic if you prefer, and follow-up runs by video unless you would rather come in, so the only required travel is the day of surgery itself.

3. Can you shave after a beard transplant?

Not for the first two weeks. The area can be trimmed after that, and normal shaving usually resumes from around a month once the grafts are secure.

4. Will people be able to tell I have had a beard transplant?

Once healed, a well-executed beard transplant is very hard to spot. Grafts are placed at the flat angle beard hair naturally grows, the outlines use single-hair grafts so the edges look grown rather than drawn, and the design is agreed with you line by line before surgery.

5. Is a beard transplant really done in one day?

Yes. Design, extraction and placement all happen in one visit under local anaesthetic, even for full beard construction, and you go home the same day. That is why one travel day covers it for Yeovil patients.

6. Are there any hidden costs with a beard transplant?

Not here. The £2,899 covers surgery, anaesthetic, clinic fees, aftercare products and follow-up reviews, and it is agreed in writing before surgery. The only cost on top is your own travel to the clinic.

7. Can I still shave my head after a beard transplant?

At very short clipper lengths the FUE dot marks in the donor area can show faintly, as with any FUE procedure. At a grade two or longer they are hidden for the vast majority of patients. The beard area itself heals without visible scarring.
