A beard transplant for Poole patients costs a fixed £2,899, all-inclusive whatever the number of grafts, carried out in one day under local anaesthetic by GMC-registered surgeons at CQC-registered clinics. It thickens patchy growth or builds a new beard line using your own permanent hair, with 5☆ independently verified reviews and a free video consultation as the first step.
Beard Transplant Surgery in Poole with My Hair UK
For Poole patients the process is built to be simple: a free consultation with the surgeon who would carry out your procedure, by video from home or in-person at the clinic, then a plan and fixed price agreed in writing, and the surgery itself completed in a single day under local anaesthetic. Nothing is committed until you have seen exactly what your beard needs and what it costs.
The procedure is FUE applied to the face: individual follicular units are moved from the permanent donor area at the back and sides of your scalp into the cheeks, jawline, moustache or chin. The transplanted hair behaves like beard hair from then on, and it lasts, because donor hair keeps its permanence wherever it is placed. Our beard restoration guide covers the surgery itself in more depth.
The typical case is not a full beard from nothing. It is patchy cheeks, thin sideburns, a moustache that does not join the chin, or gaps that make a beard look untidy at every length. Genetic patchiness does not fill in on its own, and our guide to fixing a patchy beard explains why the non-surgical options rarely close the gap.
Beard Transplant Cost in Poole
The price for Poole patients is £2,899, fixed before surgery and unchanged by the graft count. Per-graft pricing is the industry norm, and it is why quotes elsewhere often arrive as a range that only settles once you are committed. We think that is the wrong way round. The number of grafts you need is a clinical decision, so it should not be a billing lever, and with a fixed fee the surgeon plans your beard around the best result rather than a price band.
The £2,899 is all-inclusive: surgery, local anaesthetic, clinic fees, aftercare pack and follow-up reviews. How that compares across the UK market, and why the price does not scale with grafts, is covered on our beard transplant cost page.
How Much Does a Beard Transplant Cost in Poole?
Typical graft counts by area, with the fixed price alongside:
| Area | Typical Grafts | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Moustache | 400-500 | £2,899 |
| Sideburns | 200-300 each side | £2,899 |
| Goatee and chin | 600-700 | £2,899 |
| Cheeks | 300-600 each side | £2,899 |
| Full beard | 2,000-2,500 | £2,899 |
The Procedure, Start to Finish
A beard transplant is a one-day procedure under local anaesthetic: design first, extraction second, placement third, home the same evening. The design is drawn on your face and agreed with you before surgery begins, because in beard work the outline is everything, and single-hair grafts are used along the edges so the result reads as grown rather than drawn on.
Beard hair also reads as full at a lower density than scalp work, around 25 to 40 grafts per square centimetre against the 40 a scalp hairline needs, which is why graft numbers that sound modest go a long way on the face. The safe ceiling is 3,500 grafts in a day, and even full beard construction sits comfortably inside a single day for most patients.
How Many Grafts Does a Beard Transplant Take?
Typical graft counts by area, matching both the published literature and what the surgeons see in practice:
| Area | Typical Grafts |
|---|---|
| Sideburns | 200-300 each side |
| Moustache | 400-500 |
| Goatee and chin | 600-700 |
| Cheeks | 300-600 each side |
| Full beard | 2,000-2,500 |

Recovery, and When You Can Shave
Recovery is quicker than most patients expect. For the first few days the treated area shows a small scab at each graft with some redness, and the scabs lift over the first two weeks. The patient photographs in this section show it honestly: fine dotted scabbing the day after surgery, then the same beard at two weeks with the scabs cleared and only slight redness remaining. Do not shave the transplanted area for the first two weeks; after that it can be trimmed, and normal shaving usually resumes from around a month once the grafts are secure.
Between roughly week two and week eight the transplanted hairs shed. This is normal and it is not the grafts failing: the follicles stay in place, new growth starts at around three months, and the beard reaches its final density between nine and twelve months. We keep in touch through the regrowth period with regular monthly check-ins, and you have free follow-up consultations with your surgeon at 6 and 12 months, by video or in-person.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. How much is a beard transplant for someone in Poole?
£2,899, one fixed all-inclusive fee regardless of graft count. Whether your plan needs 600 grafts or 2,500, the price is the same, and it is confirmed before surgery so nothing changes on the day.
2. Do I need to travel from Poole for a beard transplant?
Yes, once. Surgery is a single day at a CQC-registered partner clinic in central Manchester or Harrow, north-west London, whichever suits you better. The consultation is free, by video from home or in-person at the clinic if you prefer, and follow-up runs by video unless you would rather come in, so the only required travel is the day of surgery itself.
3. Do beard transplant results last?
They do. Donor hair is taken from the back and sides of the scalp, where follicles are genetically resistant to balding, and that resistance travels with them. The transplanted beard hair is permanent and behaves like the beard around it.
4. Can you shave after a beard transplant?
Not for the first two weeks. The area can be trimmed after that, and normal shaving usually resumes from around a month once the grafts are secure.
5. Will people be able to tell I have had a beard transplant?
Once healed, a well-executed beard transplant is very hard to spot. Grafts are placed at the flat angle beard hair naturally grows, the outlines use single-hair grafts so the edges look grown rather than drawn, and the design is agreed with you line by line before surgery.
6. How do consultations work for Poole patients?
By video from home, or in-person at the clinic if you prefer, free of charge either way. A few photographs are enough for the surgical team to assess your beard, and the consultation covers whether a transplant is worthwhile in your case, the graft plan, and the fixed £2,899 price. There is no obligation to book.
7. Is there an age requirement for a beard transplant?
You need to be over 18, but the real question is whether your beard pattern has settled, which for most men is by the mid twenties. Transplanting into a pattern that is still changing risks a result that stops matching the beard around it, and the surgeon will advise honestly on timing.
