Beard Transplant Sutton Coldfield

Get back to great hair

Last Reviewed: 8 September 2026

Beard transplant pricing for Sutton Coldfield patients is 5☆ all-inclusive at a fixed £2,899, whatever the number of grafts, with GMC-registered surgeons at CQC-registered clinics and no hidden extras. The procedure fills patchy growth or builds a new beard line in a single day under local anaesthetic, and it starts with a free video consultation from home.

Beard Transplants for Sutton Coldfield Patients with My Hair UK

A beard transplant is an FUE hair transplant applied to the face. Follicular units are taken one at a time from the donor area at the back and sides of your scalp, where hair is permanent, and placed into the cheeks, jawline, moustache or chin. Once healed they grow as beard hair: you shave it, trim it and style it like the rest. The full procedure is covered on our beard transplant page.

Most of the Sutton Coldfield patients we hear from want thickening work rather than a beard built from nothing. Patchy cheeks, a gap between the moustache and the chin, thin sideburns or an uneven jawline are the typical cases. Patchiness is usually genetic, so it does not respond to waiting, and a transplant is the only treatment that adds permanent hair where there is none.

Your consultation happens either by video from home, or in-person with the surgeon who would carry out your procedure if you'd prefer to travel to the clinic (directions below). It is free, and you get an honest answer on whether a transplant is worth it in your case, including when it is not, along with your graft plan and the fixed price confirmed in writing before anything is booked.

Cost

Beard Transplant Cost in Sutton Coldfield

The price for Sutton Coldfield patients is £2,899, fixed before surgery and unchanged by the graft count. Per-graft pricing is the industry norm, and it is why quotes elsewhere often arrive as a range that only settles once you are committed. We think that is the wrong way round. The number of grafts you need is a clinical decision, so it should not be a billing lever, and with a fixed fee the surgeon plans your beard around the best result rather than a price band.

The £2,899 is all-inclusive: surgery, local anaesthetic, clinic fees, aftercare pack and follow-up reviews. How that compares across the UK market, and why the price does not scale with grafts, is covered on our beard transplant cost page.

The Procedure, Start to Finish

A beard transplant is a one-day procedure under local anaesthetic: design first, extraction second, placement third, home the same evening. The design is drawn on your face and agreed with you before surgery begins, because in beard work the outline is everything, and single-hair grafts are used along the edges so the result reads as grown rather than drawn on.

Beard hair also reads as full at a lower density than scalp work, around 25 to 40 grafts per square centimetre against the 40 a scalp hairline needs, which is why graft numbers that sound modest go a long way on the face. The safe ceiling is 3,500 grafts in a day, and even full beard construction sits comfortably inside a single day for most patients.

Healing, Shaving and Results

Most Sutton Coldfield patients plan around a fortnight of visible healing: small scabs at each graft site that clear inside two weeks, then fading redness. Rather than describe that in the abstract, the photographs in this section show a real patient the day after surgery and again at two weeks, once the scabs have healed and dropped away. The transplanted hairs shed between weeks two and eight, which is an expected part of the cycle rather than a problem, and regrowth starts at around three months. Final density arrives between nine and twelve months.

You cannot shave the treated area for the first two weeks. Trimming is fine after that, and normal shaving usually resumes at about a month. Aftercare is included, with monthly check-ins to make sure your growth is on track, free 6 and 12 month follow-up consultations with your surgeon (video or in-person), and the clinic on hand if anything needs a closer look.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What does a beard transplant cost for Sutton Coldfield patients?

The price is £2,899, fixed and all-inclusive, however many grafts your plan needs. It covers the surgery, anaesthetic, clinic fees, aftercare products and follow-up reviews, and it is agreed in writing before surgery.

2. Is there a beard transplant clinic in Sutton Coldfield?

Surgery for Sutton Coldfield patients is carried out at CQC-registered clinics in central Manchester and Harrow, north-west London, rather than in Sutton Coldfield itself. Because the procedure is completed in a single day, most patients treat it as one travel day, and everything before and after surgery can be handled by video from home, with the free consultation also available in-person at the clinic if you prefer.

3. What hair is used for a beard transplant?

Your own scalp hair, taken from the permanent donor area at the back and sides of the head. It matches beard hair closely in texture, and it keeps its permanence once moved to the face.

4. How soon after a beard transplant can I shave normally?

Around a month. For the first two weeks the transplanted area is not shaved at all, from week two it can be trimmed, and once the grafts are secure at about the one-month mark normal shaving resumes.

5. Am I suitable for a beard transplant?

Most men with settled growth patterns and a healthy donor area are. Patchy cheeks, thin sideburns and gaps around the chin respond particularly well. The honest answer for your own case comes from the free photographic assessment, and the surgeons do say no when a transplant is not worthwhile.

6. Is the £2,899 really the full price?

Yes. It includes the surgeon and surgical team, local anaesthetic, all clinic fees, aftercare products and follow-up reviews. It is agreed before surgery and does not change with the number of grafts.

7. Will a beard transplant leave scars?

FUE extraction leaves tiny dot marks in the donor area at the back of the scalp, which are hidden by surrounding hair at normal lengths. On the face itself the graft sites heal without visible scarring, which is why the transplanted area can be wet-shaved once healed.
