A beard transplant thickens patchy areas or shapes a new beard line using your own permanent hair. For Stourbridge patients the price is a fixed £2,899, 5☆ rated and all-inclusive with no hidden extras, delivered in a single day by GMC-registered surgeons at CQC-registered clinics. A few photographs and a free video consultation are enough for a clear plan and an honest answer on suitability.
Beard Transplant Surgery in Stourbridge with My Hair UK
A patchy or incomplete beard is one of the few cosmetic problems with a genuinely permanent fix. A beard transplant moves follicular units, one at a time, from the donor area at the back and sides of your scalp into the areas of your beard that need them. Donor hair is not affected by balding, so once the transplanted hairs grow in they are yours for good: shaved, trimmed and styled like the rest. The surgery is explained fully on our beard restoration and transplant page.
For Stourbridge patients the practical shape of it is one free consultation, by video from home or in-person at the clinic, then a single day of surgery, because even full beard construction fits within one session. Everything is settled beforehand: the design, the graft plan and the fixed £2,899 price, all agreed with the surgeon before the day itself.
Whether you are a good candidate depends on your growth pattern and what you want to achieve. Patchy cheeks, thin sideburns and gaps around the chin respond well. If your patchiness appeared suddenly as smooth round spots, that can be alopecia barbae, which needs a diagnosis rather than a transplant, and the surgeon will tell you so plainly at consultation.
Beard Transplant Cost in Stourbridge
£2,899 is the complete price of a beard transplant for Stourbridge patients: one fixed, all-inclusive fee agreed in writing before surgery, whatever the number of grafts placed on the day. UK beard work is widely quoted anywhere from £3,000 to £7,000 depending on graft count, so a fixed fee at this level is deliberately competitive, and it means a bigger plan never carries a penalty.
The fee covers everything attached to the day itself: the surgeon and surgical team, anaesthetic, clinic facilities, aftercare products and your follow-up reviews. What the price includes and how it compares is set out in full on our beard transplant cost page.
How Much Does a Beard Transplant Cost in Stourbridge?
The table below shows the typical graft counts for each beard area, and the price Stourbridge patients pay in every case:
| Area | Typical Grafts | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Moustache | 400-500 | £2,899 |
| Sideburns | 200-300 each side | £2,899 |
| Goatee and chin | 600-700 | £2,899 |
| Cheeks | 300-600 each side | £2,899 |
| Full beard | 2,000-2,500 | £2,899 |
The Procedure, Start to Finish
On the day itself you are at the clinic for several hours, awake, under local anaesthetic. The surgeon first draws the design on your face and agrees every line with you: the cheek line, the jawline and neckline, how the moustache joins the chin, and how new growth blends into any beard you already have. Nothing is placed until you are happy with those lines.
Grafts are then extracted one follicular unit at a time from the back and sides of your scalp, where hair is a close match for beard hair and keeps its permanence. Each graft is placed flat to the skin in the direction beard hair grows, with single-hair grafts along the visible edges. It is one day of surgery, and you go home the same evening.
How Many Grafts Does a Beard Transplant Take?
As a guide, these are the graft ranges each beard area usually needs:
| Area | Typical Grafts |
|---|---|
| Sideburns | 200-300 each side |
| Moustache | 400-500 |
| Goatee and chin | 600-700 |
| Cheeks | 300-600 each side |
| Full beard | 2,000-2,500 |

Beard Transplant Recovery Timeline
Recovery is quicker than most patients expect. For the first few days the treated area shows a small scab at each graft with some redness, and the scabs lift over the first two weeks. The patient photographs in this section show it honestly: fine dotted scabbing the day after surgery, then the same beard at two weeks with the scabs cleared and only slight redness remaining. Do not shave the transplanted area for the first two weeks; after that it can be trimmed, and normal shaving usually resumes from around a month once the grafts are secure.
Between roughly week two and week eight the transplanted hairs shed. This is normal and it is not the grafts failing: the follicles stay in place, new growth starts at around three months, and the beard reaches its final density between nine and twelve months. We keep in touch through the regrowth period with regular monthly check-ins, and you have free follow-up consultations with your surgeon at 6 and 12 months, by video or in-person.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. How much does a beard transplant cost in Stourbridge?
£2,899 for Stourbridge patients, as a single fixed price whatever the number of grafts, up to the 3,500 that can safely be placed in one day. The price is agreed before surgery and nothing is added on the day.
2. Where would I go for my surgery from Stourbridge?
Surgery takes place at CQC-registered partner clinics in central Manchester and Harrow, north-west London, and for most Stourbridge patients Manchester is the practical choice. It is a single day of surgery, so it is one travel day, and your consultation happens first, by video from home or in-person at the clinic if you prefer.
3. Is a beard transplant permanent?
Yes. The grafts come from the donor area of the scalp, where hair is not affected by balding, and they keep that permanence in the beard. Once grown in, the hair is shaved, trimmed and styled like the rest of your beard.
4. Is a beard transplant really done in one day?
Yes. Design, extraction and placement all happen in one visit under local anaesthetic, even for full beard construction, and you go home the same day. That is why one travel day covers it for Stourbridge patients.
5. Will the price change once the surgeon sees my beard?
No. £2,899 is the price for every beard transplant, agreed in writing before surgery, whatever graft count your plan turns out to need. There are no on-the-day additions.
6. Does the donor area show after a beard transplant?
Beard work uses comparatively modest graft numbers, so the donor area at the back of the scalp recovers quickly, and the tiny FUE dot marks are covered by surrounding hair at normal lengths. The redness there settles within a couple of weeks.
7. How does aftercare work for Stourbridge patients?
You leave the clinic with aftercare products and clear instructions, then we check in with you monthly to make sure your growth is progressing, and you have free follow-up consultations with your surgeon at 6 and 12 months, by video or in-person. If anything needs a closer look sooner, the clinic is available.
