Beard transplant pricing for Norfolk patients is 5☆ all-inclusive at a fixed £2,899, whatever the number of grafts, with GMC-registered surgeons at CQC-registered clinics and no hidden extras. The procedure fills patchy growth or builds a new beard line in a single day under local anaesthetic, and it starts with a free video consultation from home.
A Beard Transplant for Norfolk Patients with My Hair UK
For Norfolk patients the process is built to be simple: a free consultation with the surgeon who would carry out your procedure, by video from home or in-person at the clinic, then a plan and fixed price agreed in writing, and the surgery itself completed in a single day under local anaesthetic. Nothing is committed until you have seen exactly what your beard needs and what it costs.
The procedure is FUE applied to the face: individual follicular units are moved from the permanent donor area at the back and sides of your scalp into the cheeks, jawline, moustache or chin. The transplanted hair behaves like beard hair from then on, and it lasts, because donor hair keeps its permanence wherever it is placed. Our beard restoration guide covers the surgery itself in more depth.
The typical case is not a full beard from nothing. It is patchy cheeks, thin sideburns, a moustache that does not join the chin, or gaps that make a beard look untidy at every length. Genetic patchiness does not fill in on its own, and our guide to fixing a patchy beard explains why the non-surgical options rarely close the gap.
Beard Transplant Cost in Norfolk
The price for Norfolk patients is £2,899, fixed before surgery and unchanged by the graft count. Per-graft pricing is the industry norm, and it is why quotes elsewhere often arrive as a range that only settles once you are committed. We think that is the wrong way round. The number of grafts you need is a clinical decision, so it should not be a billing lever, and with a fixed fee the surgeon plans your beard around the best result rather than a price band.
The £2,899 is all-inclusive: surgery, local anaesthetic, clinic fees, aftercare pack and follow-up reviews. How that compares across the UK market, and why the price does not scale with grafts, is covered on our beard transplant cost page.
How Much Does a Beard Transplant Cost in Norfolk?
Typical graft counts by area, with the fixed price alongside:
| Area | Typical Grafts | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Moustache | 400-500 | £2,899 |
| Sideburns | 200-300 each side | £2,899 |
| Goatee and chin | 600-700 | £2,899 |
| Cheeks | 300-600 each side | £2,899 |
| Full beard | 2,000-2,500 | £2,899 |
How the Surgery Works
A beard transplant is a one-day procedure under local anaesthetic: design first, extraction second, placement third, home the same evening. The design is drawn on your face and agreed with you before surgery begins, because in beard work the outline is everything, and single-hair grafts are used along the edges so the result reads as grown rather than drawn on.
Beard hair also reads as full at a lower density than scalp work, around 25 to 40 grafts per square centimetre against the 40 a scalp hairline needs, which is why graft numbers that sound modest go a long way on the face. The safe ceiling is 3,500 grafts in a day, and even full beard construction sits comfortably inside a single day for most patients.
How Many Grafts Does a Beard Transplant Take?
The usual graft requirements area by area:
| Area | Typical Grafts |
|---|---|
| Sideburns | 200-300 each side |
| Moustache | 400-500 |
| Goatee and chin | 600-700 |
| Cheeks | 300-600 each side |
| Full beard | 2,000-2,500 |

Recovery, and When You Can Shave
Recovery is quicker than most patients expect. For the first few days the treated area shows a small scab at each graft with some redness, and the scabs lift over the first two weeks. The patient photographs in this section show it honestly: fine dotted scabbing the day after surgery, then the same beard at two weeks with the scabs cleared and only slight redness remaining. Do not shave the transplanted area for the first two weeks; after that it can be trimmed, and normal shaving usually resumes from around a month once the grafts are secure.
Between roughly week two and week eight the transplanted hairs shed. This is normal and it is not the grafts failing: the follicles stay in place, new growth starts at around three months, and the beard reaches its final density between nine and twelve months. We keep in touch through the regrowth period with regular monthly check-ins, and you have free follow-up consultations with your surgeon at 6 and 12 months, by video or in-person.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. How much is a beard transplant for someone in Norfolk?
£2,899, one fixed all-inclusive fee regardless of graft count. Whether your plan needs 600 grafts or 2,500, the price is the same, and it is confirmed before surgery so nothing changes on the day.
2. Where would I go for my surgery from Norfolk?
Surgery takes place at CQC-registered partner clinics in central Manchester and Harrow, north-west London, and for most Norfolk patients London (Harrow) is the practical choice. It is a single day of surgery, so it is one travel day, and your consultation happens first, by video from home or in-person at the clinic if you prefer.
3. How soon after a beard transplant can I shave normally?
Around a month. For the first two weeks the transplanted area is not shaved at all, from week two it can be trimmed, and once the grafts are secure at about the one-month mark normal shaving resumes.
4. How many grafts does a beard transplant take?
Typically 200 to 300 per sideburn, 400 to 500 for a moustache, 600 to 700 for the goatee and chin, and 300 to 600 per cheek. Full beard construction is usually 2,000 to 2,500 grafts, which fits within a single day of surgery.
5. Will a beard transplant work for my patchy beard?
Genetic patchiness is exactly what the procedure is for, and it responds well. The exception is patchiness that appeared suddenly as smooth round spots, which can be alopecia barbae and needs a diagnosis first. The free photo assessment sorts one from the other.
6. Should I go to Turkey instead for a beard transplant?
Turkey is cheaper, and for some people that decides it. What you give up is straightforward: UK regulation, a surgeon you can be called back to see, and aftercare that does not involve an airport. At £2,899 fixed, the gap is also far smaller for beard work than most patients assume.
7. Can a beard transplant thicken an existing beard?
Yes. Thickening existing growth is the bulk of beard transplant work: adding density to thin cheeks, closing the moustache-to-chin join, or evening up a jawline. The grafts are placed to follow your existing pattern so the result reads as one beard, not two.
