Beard transplant pricing for Blackburn patients is 5☆ all-inclusive at a fixed £2,899, whatever the number of grafts, with GMC-registered surgeons at CQC-registered clinics and no hidden extras. The procedure fills patchy growth or builds a new beard line in a single day under local anaesthetic, and it starts with a free video consultation from home.
Beard Transplants for Blackburn Patients with My Hair UK
A beard transplant is an FUE hair transplant applied to the face. Follicular units are taken one at a time from the donor area at the back and sides of your scalp, where hair is permanent, and placed into the cheeks, jawline, moustache or chin. Once healed they grow as beard hair: you shave it, trim it and style it like the rest. The full procedure is covered on our beard transplant page.
Most of the Blackburn patients we hear from want thickening work rather than a beard built from nothing. Patchy cheeks, a gap between the moustache and the chin, thin sideburns or an uneven jawline are the typical cases. Patchiness is usually genetic, so it does not respond to waiting, and a transplant is the only treatment that adds permanent hair where there is none.
Your consultation happens either by video from home, or in-person with the surgeon who would carry out your procedure if you'd prefer to travel to the clinic (directions below). It is free, and you get an honest answer on whether a transplant is worth it in your case, including when it is not, along with your graft plan and the fixed price confirmed in writing before anything is booked.
Beard Transplant Cost in Blackburn
The price for Blackburn patients is £2,899, fixed before surgery and unchanged by the graft count. Per-graft pricing is the industry norm, and it is why quotes elsewhere often arrive as a range that only settles once you are committed. We think that is the wrong way round. The number of grafts you need is a clinical decision, so it should not be a billing lever, and with a fixed fee the surgeon plans your beard around the best result rather than a price band.
The £2,899 is all-inclusive: surgery, local anaesthetic, clinic fees, aftercare pack and follow-up reviews. How that compares across the UK market, and why the price does not scale with grafts, is covered on our beard transplant cost page.
How Much Does a Beard Transplant Cost in Blackburn?
Typical graft counts by area, with the fixed price alongside:
| Area | Typical Grafts | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Moustache | 400-500 | £2,899 |
| Sideburns | 200-300 each side | £2,899 |
| Goatee and chin | 600-700 | £2,899 |
| Cheeks | 300-600 each side | £2,899 |
| Full beard | 2,000-2,500 | £2,899 |
The Procedure, Start to Finish
On the day itself you are at the clinic for several hours, awake, under local anaesthetic. The surgeon first draws the design on your face and agrees every line with you: the cheek line, the jawline and neckline, how the moustache joins the chin, and how new growth blends into any beard you already have. Nothing is placed until you are happy with those lines.
Grafts are then extracted one follicular unit at a time from the back and sides of your scalp, where hair is a close match for beard hair and keeps its permanence. Each graft is placed flat to the skin in the direction beard hair grows, with single-hair grafts along the visible edges. It is one day of surgery, and you go home the same evening.
How Many Grafts Does a Beard Transplant Take?
As a guide, these are the graft ranges each beard area usually needs:
| Area | Typical Grafts |
|---|---|
| Sideburns | 200-300 each side |
| Moustache | 400-500 |
| Goatee and chin | 600-700 |
| Cheeks | 300-600 each side |
| Full beard | 2,000-2,500 |

Beard Transplant Recovery Timeline
Recovery is quicker than most patients expect. For the first few days the treated area shows a small scab at each graft with some redness, and the scabs lift over the first two weeks. The patient photographs in this section show it honestly: fine dotted scabbing the day after surgery, then the same beard at two weeks with the scabs cleared and only slight redness remaining. Do not shave the transplanted area for the first two weeks; after that it can be trimmed, and normal shaving usually resumes from around a month once the grafts are secure.
Between roughly week two and week eight the transplanted hairs shed. This is normal and it is not the grafts failing: the follicles stay in place, new growth starts at around three months, and the beard reaches its final density between nine and twelve months. We keep in touch through the regrowth period with regular monthly check-ins, and you have free follow-up consultations with your surgeon at 6 and 12 months, by video or in-person.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. What does a beard transplant cost for Blackburn patients?
The price is £2,899, fixed and all-inclusive, however many grafts your plan needs. It covers the surgery, anaesthetic, clinic fees, aftercare products and follow-up reviews, and it is agreed in writing before surgery.
2. Is there a beard transplant clinic in Blackburn?
Surgery for Blackburn patients is carried out at CQC-registered clinics in central Manchester and Harrow, north-west London, rather than in Blackburn itself. Because the procedure is completed in a single day, most patients treat it as one travel day, and everything before and after surgery can be handled by video from home, with the free consultation also available in-person at the clinic if you prefer.
3. How long does the procedure take?
It is completed in a single day. You arrive in the morning, the design is agreed and drawn on, extraction and placement follow under local anaesthetic, and you go home the same evening.
4. How do I know if my patchy beard is alopecia barbae?
The pattern is the clue: alopecia barbae typically shows as smooth, round patches that appeared relatively suddenly, while genetic patchiness has usually been there since your beard first came in. The surgical team screens for this at the photo assessment stage.
5. Is the £2,899 really the full price?
Yes. It includes the surgeon and surgical team, local anaesthetic, all clinic fees, aftercare products and follow-up reviews. It is agreed before surgery and does not change with the number of grafts.
6. Are there any hidden costs with a beard transplant?
Not here. The £2,899 covers surgery, anaesthetic, clinic fees, aftercare products and follow-up reviews, and it is agreed in writing before surgery. The only cost on top is your own travel to the clinic.
7. Will new grafts blend with my existing beard hair?
They will, provided the angles are right, which is a placement skill. Grafts are set flat to the skin in the direction your existing beard grows, and since the donor hair is your own it matches in colour and texture and greys along with the rest.
