Beard Transplant Rochdale

Get back to great hair

Last Reviewed: 10 September 2026

A beard transplant thickens patchy areas or shapes a new beard line using your own permanent hair. For Rochdale patients the price is a fixed £2,899, 5☆ rated and all-inclusive with no hidden extras, delivered in a single day by GMC-registered surgeons at CQC-registered clinics. A few photographs and a free video consultation are enough for a clear plan and an honest answer on suitability.

A Beard Transplant for Rochdale Patients with My Hair UK

A beard transplant is an FUE hair transplant applied to the face. Follicular units are taken one at a time from the donor area at the back and sides of your scalp, where hair is permanent, and placed into the cheeks, jawline, moustache or chin. Once healed they grow as beard hair: you shave it, trim it and style it like the rest. The full procedure is covered on our beard transplant page.

Most of the Rochdale patients we hear from want thickening work rather than a beard built from nothing. Patchy cheeks, a gap between the moustache and the chin, thin sideburns or an uneven jawline are the typical cases. Patchiness is usually genetic, so it does not respond to waiting, and a transplant is the only treatment that adds permanent hair where there is none.

Your consultation happens either by video from home, or in-person with the surgeon who would carry out your procedure if you'd prefer to travel to the clinic (directions below). It is free, and you get an honest answer on whether a transplant is worth it in your case, including when it is not, along with your graft plan and the fixed price confirmed in writing before anything is booked.

Cost

Beard Transplant Cost in Rochdale

A beard transplant costs £2,899 for Rochdale patients. That is a single fixed price whatever the number of grafts, agreed before surgery, and it does not move on the day. It covers the surgeon's time, the anaesthetic, all clinic fees, aftercare products and your follow-up reviews. There is nothing to add and nothing to negotiate.

Most UK clinics price beard work per graft, which means the bill depends on a number you cannot check yourself. A fixed fee removes that conversation entirely: whether your plan needs 600 grafts around the chin or 2,500 for full construction, the price is the same £2,899. The full breakdown is on our beard transplant cost page.

How a Beard Transplant Works

The procedure runs in a single day under local anaesthetic. You are awake throughout, and most patients find the numbing injections the only uncomfortable part. Grafts are extracted individually from the donor area of the scalp, then placed one at a time at the flat angle beard hair naturally grows, following a design agreed with you before surgery starts.

The design stage matters more in beard work than anywhere else, because every line is on show. Before anything is placed, the surgeon draws the cheek line, jawline, neckline and moustache join directly onto your face and agrees it with you. Single-hair grafts go along the outlines, where the eye is most sensitive, so the edges look grown rather than drawn. You go home the same day.

Healing, Shaving and Results

Most Rochdale patients plan around a fortnight of visible healing: small scabs at each graft site that clear inside two weeks, then fading redness. Rather than describe that in the abstract, the photographs in this section show a real patient the day after surgery and again at two weeks, once the scabs have healed and dropped away. The transplanted hairs shed between weeks two and eight, which is an expected part of the cycle rather than a problem, and regrowth starts at around three months. Final density arrives between nine and twelve months.

You cannot shave the treated area for the first two weeks. Trimming is fine after that, and normal shaving usually resumes at about a month. Aftercare is included, with monthly check-ins to make sure your growth is on track, free 6 and 12 month follow-up consultations with your surgeon (video or in-person), and the clinic on hand if anything needs a closer look.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. How much does a beard transplant cost in Rochdale?

£2,899 for Rochdale patients, as a single fixed price whatever the number of grafts, up to the 3,500 that can safely be placed in one day. The price is agreed before surgery and nothing is added on the day.

2. Where would I go for my surgery from Rochdale?

Surgery takes place at CQC-registered partner clinics in central Manchester and Harrow, north-west London, and for most Rochdale patients Manchester is the practical choice. It is a single day of surgery, so it is one travel day, and your consultation happens first, by video from home or in-person at the clinic if you prefer.

3. How painful is beard transplant surgery?

Less than most patients expect. You are awake but fully numbed under local anaesthetic throughout, and the brief sting of the anaesthetic injections is typically the worst of it. Post-surgery discomfort is mild and settles within days.

4. What if my beard gaps appeared suddenly?

Sudden smooth, round bald spots in the beard can be alopecia barbae, an autoimmune condition, and transplanting into it is the wrong treatment. It needs a diagnosis first. Long-standing, stable patchiness is a different matter and usually suits a transplant well.

5. Why is the price fixed rather than per graft?

Because graft count is a clinical decision, and we do not think it should also be a billing lever. With per-graft pricing a bigger plan means a bigger bill. With a fixed £2,899 the surgeon plans your beard purely around the best result.

6. Should I go to Turkey instead for a beard transplant?

Turkey is cheaper, and for some people that decides it. What you give up is straightforward: UK regulation, a surgeon you can be called back to see, and aftercare that does not involve an airport. At £2,899 fixed, the gap is also far smaller for beard work than most patients assume.

7. Am I too young for a beard transplant?

If your beard pattern is still filling in, possibly, and the surgical team will say so rather than operate early. Most men's patterns settle by the mid twenties. There is no upper age limit provided the donor area is healthy.
