Beard Transplant Stoke

Get back to a great beard

Last Reviewed: 6 September 2026

A beard transplant for Stoke patients costs a fixed £2,899, all-inclusive whatever the number of grafts, carried out in one day under local anaesthetic by GMC-registered surgeons at CQC-registered clinics. It thickens patchy growth or builds a new beard line using your own permanent hair, with 5☆ independently verified reviews and a free video consultation as the first step.

Beard Transplants for Stoke Patients with My Hair UK

A beard transplant is an FUE hair transplant applied to the face. Follicular units are taken one at a time from the donor area at the back and sides of your scalp, where hair is permanent, and placed into the cheeks, jawline, moustache or chin. Once healed they grow as beard hair: you shave it, trim it and style it like the rest. The full procedure is covered on our beard transplant page.

Most of the Stoke patients we hear from want thickening work rather than a beard built from nothing. Patchy cheeks, a gap between the moustache and the chin, thin sideburns or an uneven jawline are the typical cases. Patchiness is usually genetic, so it does not respond to waiting, and a transplant is the only treatment that adds permanent hair where there is none.

Your consultation happens either by video from home, or in-person with the surgeon who would carry out your procedure if you'd prefer to travel to the clinic (directions below). It is free, and you get an honest answer on whether a transplant is worth it in your case, including when it is not, along with your graft plan and the fixed price confirmed in writing before anything is booked.

Beard Transplant Cost in Stoke

A beard transplant costs £2,899 for Stoke patients. That is a single fixed price whatever the number of grafts, agreed before surgery, and it does not move on the day. It covers the surgeon's time, the anaesthetic, all clinic fees, aftercare products and your follow-up reviews. There is nothing to add and nothing to negotiate.

Most UK clinics price beard work per graft, which means the bill depends on a number you cannot check yourself. A fixed fee removes that conversation entirely: whether your plan needs 600 grafts around the chin or 2,500 for full construction, the price is the same £2,899. The full breakdown is on our beard transplant cost page.

How the Surgery Works

The procedure runs in a single day under local anaesthetic. You are awake throughout, and most patients find the numbing injections the only uncomfortable part. Grafts are extracted individually from the donor area of the scalp, then placed one at a time at the flat angle beard hair naturally grows, following a design agreed with you before surgery starts.

The design stage matters more in beard work than anywhere else, because every line is on show. Before anything is placed, the surgeon draws the cheek line, jawline, neckline and moustache join directly onto your face and agrees it with you. Single-hair grafts go along the outlines, where the eye is most sensitive, so the edges look grown rather than drawn. You go home the same day.

Recovery-Timeline

Beard Transplant Recovery Timeline

The healing pattern is predictable. Fine dotted scabbing for the first week or two, mild redness that fades over the following weeks, and a shedding phase between weeks two and eight when the transplanted hairs fall out while the follicles stay put. The two patient photographs here show the difference a fortnight makes: small scabs at each graft the day after surgery, then clear skin with mild redness once they have dropped off at two weeks. New growth begins around month three and the final result settles between nine and twelve months.

The shaving rules are simple: nothing for two weeks, trimming after that, and a normal wet shave from around a month once the grafts are secure. Aftercare products are included in the price, and we have regular monthly check-ins with you to ensure your growth is progressing and offer free 6 & 12 month follow up consultations with your surgeon either by video or in-person.

Travelling From Stoke

Stoke-on-Trent is under 45 minutes from Manchester by train, so the Manchester clinic is the natural pick for the Potteries: trains leave Winton Square, opposite the old North Stafford Hotel, and arrive into Piccadilly with time to walk to Deansgate. The London (Harrow) clinic holds the same CQC registration for Stoke-on-Trent patients, an hour and a half down the West Coast Main Line if the capital suits you better.

Whether home is Tunstall, Fenton, Abbey Hulton or Stoke town itself, a Potter from one of the six towns, fresh from the bottle kilns of Middleport Pottery, a factory tour at the World of Wedgwood in Barlaston or a steam day on the Foxfield Railway at Blythe Bridge, book a free consultation with our trichology team, in person or by video call, and receive a tailored beard plan for Stoke-on-Trent patients with the fixed £2,899 price confirmed in writing.

Travel

From Stoke-on-Trent to My Hair UK Manchester Clinic

By Train

Stoke-on-Trent station stands on the West Coast Main Line in Winton Square, its Grade II* Jacobean frontage facing the former North Stafford Hotel. The top of Deansgate is by Victoria rather than Piccadilly, so from Piccadilly either walk the mile through the centre, fifteen to twenty minutes, or take a tram to Victoria and walk five.

By Car

Driving from Stoke-on-Trent takes around 50 minutes: get on the D-road, as everyone in the Potteries calls the A500, and follow it north to the M6 at Junction 16, then the M6 to Junction 19 for the A556 and the M56, before the M60 and the M602 take you into Salford with Regent Road leading to Deansgate.

From Stoke-on-Trent to My Hair UK London (Harrow) Clinic

By Train

Avanti West Coast runs more than thirty direct trains a day from Stoke-on-Trent to London Euston, the fastest in around 1 hour 30 minutes, calling at Stafford and Milton Keynes. Euston’s Overground platforms serve the Lioness line to Watford Junction, which stops at Kenton after around 25 minutes, five minutes on foot from the Harrow clinic.

By Car

By car from Stoke-on-Trent allow around 2 hours 45 minutes: the D-road south to the M6 at Junction 15, the M6 past Stafford and around Birmingham to the Catthorpe Interchange, the M1 south to Junction 5 at Watford, then the A41 as far as Stanmore and the A409 into Kenton, the end of the drive from Stoke-on-Trent.

Local GPs

Your GP is worth a conversation before elective surgery, since some conditions and medications affect how grafts take, and the surgeon will ask about both at consultation. Three NHS practices across the six towns:

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What does a beard transplant cost for Stoke patients?

The price is £2,899, fixed and all-inclusive, however many grafts your plan needs. It covers the surgery, anaesthetic, clinic fees, aftercare products and follow-up reviews, and it is agreed in writing before surgery.

2. Is there a beard transplant clinic in Stoke?

Surgery for Stoke patients is carried out at CQC-registered clinics in central Manchester and Harrow, north-west London, rather than in Stoke itself. Because the procedure is completed in a single day, most patients treat it as one travel day, and everything before and after surgery can be handled by video from home, with the free consultation also available in-person at the clinic if you prefer.

3. Do beard transplant results last?

They do. Donor hair is taken from the back and sides of the scalp, where follicles are genetically resistant to balding, and that resistance travels with them. The transplanted beard hair is permanent and behaves like the beard around it.

4. Will people be able to tell I have had a beard transplant?

Once healed, a well-executed beard transplant is very hard to spot. Grafts are placed at the flat angle beard hair naturally grows, the outlines use single-hair grafts so the edges look grown rather than drawn, and the design is agreed with you line by line before surgery.

5. Will a beard transplant work for my patchy beard?

Genetic patchiness is exactly what the procedure is for, and it responds well. The exception is patchiness that appeared suddenly as smooth round spots, which can be alopecia barbae and needs a diagnosis first. The free photo assessment sorts one from the other.

6. Is it worth paying more for a beard transplant in the UK?

That depends on what you value. The UK premium buys GMC-registered surgeons, CQC-registered clinics, and in-person follow-up if anything needs looking at. For beard work specifically the premium is modest, because £2,899 fixed sits well below what most patients expect a UK procedure to cost.

7. What aftercare support do I get after a beard transplant?

Aftercare products and instructions on the day, regular monthly check-ins to make sure your growth is progressing, and free follow-up consultations with your surgeon at 6 and 12 months, by video or in-person. For Stoke patients the routine contact all happens from home.
