Beard Transplant Canterbury

Get back to great hair

Last Reviewed: 10 September 2026

Beard transplant pricing for Canterbury patients is 5☆ all-inclusive at a fixed £2,899, whatever the number of grafts, with GMC-registered surgeons at CQC-registered clinics and no hidden extras. The procedure fills patchy growth or builds a new beard line in a single day under local anaesthetic, and it starts with a free video consultation from home.

Beard Transplants for Canterbury Patients with My Hair UK

A beard transplant is an FUE hair transplant applied to the face. Follicular units are taken one at a time from the donor area at the back and sides of your scalp, where hair is permanent, and placed into the cheeks, jawline, moustache or chin. Once healed they grow as beard hair: you shave it, trim it and style it like the rest. The full procedure is covered on our beard transplant page.

Most of the Canterbury patients we hear from want thickening work rather than a beard built from nothing. Patchy cheeks, a gap between the moustache and the chin, thin sideburns or an uneven jawline are the typical cases. Patchiness is usually genetic, so it does not respond to waiting, and a transplant is the only treatment that adds permanent hair where there is none.

Your consultation happens either by video from home, or in-person with the surgeon who would carry out your procedure if you'd prefer to travel to the clinic (directions below). It is free, and you get an honest answer on whether a transplant is worth it in your case, including when it is not, along with your graft plan and the fixed price confirmed in writing before anything is booked.

Cost

Beard Transplant Cost in Canterbury

£2,899 is the complete price of a beard transplant for Canterbury patients: one fixed, all-inclusive fee agreed in writing before surgery, whatever the number of grafts placed on the day. UK beard work is widely quoted anywhere from £3,000 to £7,000 depending on graft count, so a fixed fee at this level is deliberately competitive, and it means a bigger plan never carries a penalty.

The fee covers everything attached to the day itself: the surgeon and surgical team, anaesthetic, clinic facilities, aftercare products and your follow-up reviews. What the price includes and how it compares is set out in full on our beard transplant cost page.

How a Beard Transplant Works

The procedure runs in a single day under local anaesthetic. You are awake throughout, and most patients find the numbing injections the only uncomfortable part. Grafts are extracted individually from the donor area of the scalp, then placed one at a time at the flat angle beard hair naturally grows, following a design agreed with you before surgery starts.

The design stage matters more in beard work than anywhere else, because every line is on show. Before anything is placed, the surgeon draws the cheek line, jawline, neckline and moustache join directly onto your face and agrees it with you. Single-hair grafts go along the outlines, where the eye is most sensitive, so the edges look grown rather than drawn. You go home the same day.

How Many Grafts Does a Beard Transplant Take?

Typical graft counts by area, matching both the published literature and what the surgeons see in practice:

Recovery-Timeline

Recovery, and When You Can Shave

The healing pattern is predictable. Fine dotted scabbing for the first week or two, mild redness that fades over the following weeks, and a shedding phase between weeks two and eight when the transplanted hairs fall out while the follicles stay put. The two patient photographs here show the difference a fortnight makes: small scabs at each graft the day after surgery, then clear skin with mild redness once they have dropped off at two weeks. New growth begins around month three and the final result settles between nine and twelve months.

The shaving rules are simple: nothing for two weeks, trimming after that, and a normal wet shave from around a month once the grafts are secure. Aftercare products are included in the price, and we have regular monthly check-ins with you to ensure your growth is progressing and offer free 6 & 12 month follow up consultations with your surgeon either by video or in-person.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What does a beard transplant cost for Canterbury patients?

The price is £2,899, fixed and all-inclusive, however many grafts your plan needs. It covers the surgery, anaesthetic, clinic fees, aftercare products and follow-up reviews, and it is agreed in writing before surgery.

2. Do I need to travel from Canterbury for a beard transplant?

Yes, once. Surgery is a single day at a CQC-registered partner clinic in central Manchester or Harrow, north-west London, whichever suits you better. The consultation is free, by video from home or in-person at the clinic if you prefer, and follow-up runs by video unless you would rather come in, so the only required travel is the day of surgery itself.

3. How do consultations work for Canterbury patients?

By video from home, or in-person at the clinic if you prefer, free of charge either way. A few photographs are enough for the surgical team to assess your beard, and the consultation covers whether a transplant is worthwhile in your case, the graft plan, and the fixed £2,899 price. There is no obligation to book.

4. Is a beard transplant really done in one day?

Yes. Design, extraction and placement all happen in one visit under local anaesthetic, even for full beard construction, and you go home the same day. That is why one travel day covers it for Canterbury patients.

5. What does the price include?

Everything attached to the procedure: the surgeon and surgical team, local anaesthetic, clinic facilities, aftercare products and your follow-up reviews. There are no extras added on the day.

6. What is the best age for a beard transplant?

Whenever your growth pattern has stabilised, which is typically from the mid twenties onwards. Our guide to the best age for a beard transplant covers how to judge it, and the free assessment gives you a straight answer for your own case.

7. Will I need to travel back to the clinic after surgery?

Only if you choose to. Aftercare instructions and products come home with you, we run regular monthly check-ins through recovery, and your free 6 and 12 month follow-up consultations with the surgeon can be held by video or in-person at the clinic.
